Donald Trump has been charged with 34 felony counts of falsifying enterprise information, making him the primary former US president to face a legal trial.
Showing in a Manhattan courtroom, Mr Trump pleaded not responsible after his formal arrest earlier on Tuesday.
The fees stem from an alleged hush-money fee to a porn star within the days earlier than the 2016 presidential election.
Mr Trump, 76, has denied any wrongdoing within the case.
