A brutal report from the Privileges Committee yesterday laid out how Boris Johnson as Prime Minister deliberately misled the Home of Commons and the general public, when he mentioned of lockdown gatherings at Downing St ‘all steering had been adopted fully’.
The response from Mr Johnson? Not humility or acceptance, however a doubling down, taking a leaf – within the eyes of some – straight out of Donald Trump’s playbook. The report’s conclusions had been “garbage” he mentioned in a press release, ”a lie”, “deranged”, “a charade”, “a dreadful day for MPs and for democracy.”
However in Boris Johnson’s resignation assertion as an MP after studying of the committee’s conclusion, he mentioned, “It is rather unhappy to be leaving Parliament – no less than for now.”
So does the previous prime minister have any real looking likelihood of a future in politics after this?
