All flights to and from Denmark’s largest airport have been suspended after drone sightings, police have stated.
Between two to a few giant drones have been seen flying within the space round Copenhagen Airport, in accordance with authorities.
Take-offs and landings on the airport have been suspended since round 20:30 native time (19:30 BST).
“[The airport] is at the moment closed for take-off and touchdown, as 2-3 giant drones have been seen flying within the space. The time horizon is at the moment unknown,” police stated in an announcement on X.
Talking to the Reuters information company, a spokesperson for Copenhagen Airport confirmed that the airspace over the airport had been closed resulting from unidentified drones.
“Police are investigating the matter and we at the moment need to timeline for reopening,” the spokesperson stated.
