A decide has quashed the homicide conviction of a person from Baltimore in a case that spawned the hit true crime podcast Serial.
Adnan Syed was 19 when he was sentenced to life in jail for the dying of his ex-girlfriend, Hae Min Lee, whose physique was discovered buried within the woods in 1999.
Prosecutors final week requested the courtroom to throw out his conviction, saying a year-long case evaluate had turned up two “various suspects”.
Syed will likely be launched into house detention.
