Refugees and help teams say the preventing in Darfur is much less concerning the battle between the Sudanese armed forces and the Speedy Help Forces than it’s an existential conflict between communities within the area.
Masalit leaders report that militias are focusing on their tribe, specifically, and a few refugees are describing the persecution in el-Geneina, the capital of West Darfur, as a genocide.
Support teams fear that the violence might unfold throughout the area and the Masalit warn that different tribes could possibly be focused subsequent.
