China’s navy has begun rehearsing the encirclement of Taiwan throughout three days of navy drills.
Beijing – which views Taiwan as a breakaway province of China – referred to as the operation a “stern warning” to the island’s authorities.
The workout routines started hours after President Tsai Ing-wen returned from a visit to america.
The Taiwanese Defence Ministry stated 42 Chinese language navy planes and eight ships crossed the Taiwan Strait median line.
The road is an unofficial dividing line between Chinese language and Taiwanese territory.
