Chinese language former chief Hu Jintao has been led out of the closing ceremony of the Communist Occasion Congress.
The 79-year-old was sitting beside President Xi Jinping when he was approached and led away by officers. No clarification was given.
After its week-long congress, the get together is predicted to substantiate Mr Xi, 69, for a historic third time period.
The occasion, held in Beijing each 5 years, cemented his place as China’s strongest chief since Mao Zedong.
