China has eliminated six officers from Britain, together with one in all its most senior UK diplomat – two months after violence exterior its Manchester consulate.
The UK had requested the officers waive their proper to diplomatic immunity to permit detectives to query them about October’s incident.
Overseas Secretary James Cleverly expressed his disappointment that not one of the six would now face justice.
The group included consul-general Zheng Xiyuan, who denied beating a protester.
