Chief of Battle premieres on Apple TV+ this August, and the streaming service has launched a trailer for the model new historic drama.
Jason Momoa, Luciane Buchanan, Te Ao o Hinepehinga, Kaina Makua, Moses Objects, Siua Ikale’o, Brandon Finn, James Udom, Mainei Kinimaka, Te Kohe Tuhaka, and Temuera Morrison star inside the assortment, which displays the battle to unify the Hawaiian islands sooner than that they had been colonized inside the 1800s.

For the time being, Apple TV+ unveiled the first teaser trailer for its epic historic drama “Chief of Battle,” starring, written and authorities produced by Jason Momoa. Set amidst the beautiful backdrop of the islands of Hawai‘i, the nine-episode assortment, based on true events, follows warrior Ka‘iana, portrayed by Momoa, as he tries to unify the islands sooner than Western colonization inside the late 18th century. “Chief of Battle” will make its world debut on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes on Friday, August 1, 2025, adopted by new episodes every Friday by means of September 19.
Instructed from an indigenous perspective, “Chief of Battle” is a passion mission for creators Momoa and Thomas Pa‘a Sibbett, who share native Hawaiian heritage.
