Authorities in Brazil have confiscated almost 29 tonnes of unlawful shark fins sure for Asia in what they described as presumably the biggest such seizure ever.
Atmosphere safety company Ibama estimated some 10,000 blue sharks and shortfin mako sharks had been killed for the fins. The 2 species had been added to Brazil’s nationwide listing of endangered species final month.
