Canada-headquartered Blink49 Studios has optioned the rights to Loss of life on the Island, the debut novel by the previous first woman of Iceland, Eliza Reid.

The thriller thriller is being tailored for tv by author and producer Lynne Kamm (Plan B, Transplant), with Kristinn Thordarson and Leifur B Dagfinnsson (The Valhalla Murders, The Darkness) of Icelandic prodco Truenorth on board as government producers.
Set on this planet of worldwide diplomacy, the story begins when a Canadian diplomat collapses at an Icelandic gathering. His spouse launches her personal investigation, teaming up with a younger native detective to uncover an online of secrets and techniques that hit dangerously near dwelling.
The venture, deliberate as a six-parter and envisioned as the primary half in a franchise, is being developed and produced underneath Blink49’s joint venture with literary administration agency Transatlantic.
Blink49 holds worldwide rights and can lead manufacturing on the variation, with Truenorth coproducing.
The manager producers embrace Blink49’s Carolyn Newman and Virginia Rankin, Transatlantic’s Samantha Haywood and Laura Cameron, alongside Thordarson, Dagfinnsson, Kamm and Reid.
