Russian air defences might have shot down an Azerbaijan Airways flight after misidentifying it, in response to US army sources.
Two unnamed officers who spoke to Sky Information’ US associate NBC Information mentioned America had intelligence indicating Russia might have believed the flight was a drone and engaged its air defences.
