The US, UK and Australia have unveiled particulars of their plan to create a brand new fleet of nuclear-powered submarines.
The Aukus pact is alleged to be aimed toward countering China’s affect within the Indo-Pacific area, and can see British designed, American made submarines despatched to Australia.
Beijing has strongly criticised the numerous naval deal, accusing the Western allies of setting again nuclear non-proliferation efforts.
US President Joe Biden mentioned the deal was aimed toward bolstering peace within the area and confused the submarines could be “nuclear-powered, not nuclear-armed”.
