Ashland Springs Resort celebrates centennial with ribbon-cutting, wine tasting, and time capsule with public notes

Just a few dozen Ashlanders and visitors of the Ashland Springs Resort turned part of historical past on Saturday, Sept. 20, during the hotel’s 100th anniversary ceremony, a collaboration between the lodge and Travel Ashland.
Resort house owners Doug and Becky Neuman began the ceremony by slicing a pink ribbon outdoors the lodge, wanting ahead to the subsequent 100 years. They welcomed attendees contained in the foyer for a champagne toast.

Native historian Peter Finkle invited listeners to “step right into a time machine for a couple of minutes” as he unfolded the lodge’s historical past.
On Sept. 28, 1925, the Lithia Springs Resort hosted its grand opening occasion, welcoming guests who have been “positive to return” for the therapeutic Lithia water and comes in Ashland.
