To the editor: I take nice umbrage that the courageous souls resting at Arlington Nationwide Cemetery have been used as props for a draft-dodging, racist former president. There have been no members of Donald Trump’s household who’ve been “suckers” or “losers” and earned a spot amongst our heroes.
My nice grandfather, all of his brothers, my grandfather, all of his brothers, all of my uncles, my stepfather and my brother are all resting in nationwide cemeteries. My start father, who was Bahamian, was honored with an American flag.
They had been all Black. Not a single considered one of them was a Republican. What they actually had been merely American boys preventing for his or her nation.
Allow them to relaxation within the peace and honor they deserve.

To the editor: My father is buried in Part 4 of Arlington Nationwide Cemetery. He’s between two Vietnam Warfare veterans.
My father, Military Col. Robert R. Selway Jr., died of a stroke, presumably from the stress of coaching the Tuskegee Airmen, the primary Black navy fighter pilots and bombers throughout World Warfare II. He went to the USA Army Academy at West Level. My mom is buried with him.
Did Trump actually suppose he might have a photo-op in Part 60 at Arlington? Did considered one of his workers members strike a girl working for the cemetery?
He ought to avoid my mom and father.

To the editor: Federal regulation prohibits marketing campaign actions in navy cemeteries. Though we have no idea the intent of the invitation by the Gold Star households who invited Trump to Arlington, it can not override federal regulation and navy coverage.
There ought to have been no query that Trump’s workers overstepped when considered one of its members reportedly pushed apart an Arlington staffer who tried to cease the creating political occasion. The “sacred second” has subsequently appeared on social media, which is exactly what Arlington officers meant to keep away from.
Was Trump honoring the loss skilled by Gold Star households together with his go to? Or was he attempting to rehabilitate his fame following repeated missteps by which he labeled our veterans as “suckers” and “losers” and questioned the importance of the Congressional Medal of Honor.

To the editor: I all the time get pleasure from studying Robin Abcarian’s opinion columns, as I do with the entire journalists on the L.A. Occasions.
Nonetheless, I lengthy for the day after we don’t should learn yet one more article about this horrible man who has accomplished yet one more horrible factor.
Is it newsworthy? Most undoubtedly. I’m simply so bored with all of it, after what looks as if 100 years now and never simply 9. I’m exhausted from all of it.
I’m not normalizing his habits. I’m simply saying please, go away.
