Akasa Air has formally entered Bihar with the launch of operations from Darbhanga, including the town as its twenty eighth vacation spot. The brand new route connects Hyderabad and Darbhanga by way of Delhi, with no change of plane required, enhancing seamless journey between two key metro cities and the northern Bihar area.
The inaugural flight from Delhi to Darbhanga was flagged off at a ceremony held at Indira Gandhi International Airport by the Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu. The occasion was attended by Akasa Air’s Founder and Chief Govt Officer, Vinay Dube, together with senior officers from the federal government and Delhi Worldwide Airport. The maiden flight departed from Delhi at 9:00 am and landed at Darbhanga at 10:55 am. A second occasion was held at Darbhanga Airport to mark the return flight to Delhi.
The brand new route is a part of Akasa’s wider effort to deepen air connectivity between metro hubs and Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. With this launch, the airline goals to contribute to Bihar’s financial and social growth by bettering entry to and from the area.
