Civil rights lawyer and director of Columbia’s Knight First Modification Institute, Jameel Jaffer, has filed lawsuits on behalf of scholars detained or stripped of their immigration standing by the Trump Administration. He tells CNN’s Audie Cornish that these actions mirror the sort of “coverage that ends democracies.”
