The Mates of the Altoona Space Public Library will maintain its fall used guide sale from 8:30 a.m. to five p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, on the bottom flooring of the library. A $5-a-bag sale shall be held from 8:30 a.m. to six p.m. Monday, Oct. 27. There aren’t any Sunday hours. For Mates members, the Members’ Pre-Sale will happen from 5:30 to eight p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23. Mates members making ready for the sale embrace: entrance — Pat Callahan; and from left, again — Gloria Bille-Dugan, Helen Gorsuch, Linda Bistline, Barb Brunhuber and Leonard Alwine. The guide sale presents books of every kind from grownup fiction, kids’s books, bestsellers to classics, non-fiction similar to journey, artwork, historical past, residence restore, family tree, well being, science, crafts, language and true crime books. The sale additionally contains puzzles, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, patterns, video games and extra. All cash raised advantages the library.
