Scottish authorities minister Jamie Hepburn has resigned after he was accused of bodily assaulting the Conservative MSP Douglas Ross.
Ross mentioned the parliament minister grabbed him and swore aggressively as he left the Holyrood chamber on Wednesday.
Hepburn mentioned he put his hand on the previous Scottish Tory chief’s shoulder and used some “selection phrases”.
The resignation got here hours after Ross formally complained in regards to the SNP MSP’s conduct in a letter to first minister John Swinney.
In his resignation letter, Hepburn wrote: “Regardless of whether or not or not the Ministerial Code has been breached, even when there had been no criticism made, I consider I’ve not acted in accordance with my very own private code of follow.

In a letter of response, Swinney mentioned he accepted Hepburn’s resignation with “a lot private remorse”.
