An Australian surfer died Saturday after being bitten by a “large shark” at Lengthy Reef Seashore in Sydney, police stated.
New South Wales Police Superintendent John Duncan recognized the sufferer as a 57-year-old father and “skilled surfer” who misplaced a number of limbs, in keeping with Sky News.

“Officers hooked up to Northern Seashores Police Space Command have closed the seashore and can liaise with specialists … to find out the species of shark concerned,” police added. “Two sections of a surfboard have been recovered and brought for professional examination.”

“The gentleman had gone out about 9:30 this morning with a few of his associates, about 5 – 6 of his mates,” he was quoted by Sky Information as saying. “He is an skilled surfer that we perceive.
“Sadly, it might seem that a big, what we consider to be a shark, has attacked him.
