    A number of elements of South Asia are engulfed by a poisonous haze from mud, emissions and smoke from farm fires.
    In Pakistan, a number of districts of Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad and Gujranwala have seen an unprecedented rise in sufferers with respiratory illnesses, eye and throat irritation, and pink eye illness.
    Pakistan’s Punjab province has banned most outside actions and ordered retailers, markets, and malls in some areas to shut early on Monday to curb diseases brought on by the extreme air air pollution.
