Ukraine has condemned unsubstantiated claims by Russia that Kyiv may use a “soiled bomb” – typical explosives laced with radioactive materials.
President Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned this meant Russia itself might be getting ready an assault of this type.
Ukraine’s allies additionally dismissed the claims, with the US saying it “rejected any pretext for Russian escalation”.
