The British greater schooling annual college rankings had been revealed by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) on Wednesday. The Indian Institutes of Know-how (IITs) dominate the QS India Rankings 2020 with 5 of them securing the highest spots.
IIT Bombay, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and IIT Delhi had been ranked as the highest three instructional institutes in India respectively. IIT Madras and IIT Kharagpur secured 4th and fifth ranks whereas Calcutta College (CU) and College secured the eleventh and twelfth spot in amongst all state-run universities.
West Bengal governor Jagdeep Dhankhar and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee took to Twitter to congratulate the 2 Bengal universities.

The rankings are primarily based on indicators like tutorial fame, employer fame, school and pupil ratio, workers with a PhD, papers per school, citations per paper, worldwide school, and worldwide college students.
In response to the rankings, IIT Bombay was ranked quantity 8 amongst high establishments in BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa). Jagdeep Dhankar, the chancellor of IIT Bombay, stated that he was assured that the schools would do even higher within the days to return.
About 11 establishments achieved an ideal rating of 100 beneath the criterion of ‘workers with PhD’ indicator, proving India’s dedication in the direction of analysis.
