    The small black bear cub was rescued by campers in Los Padres nationwide forest after being discovered alone and ravenous. The toddler bear is now recovering at San Diego Humane Society’s Ramona Wildlife Heart, and is believed to be the youngest cub the group has ever cared for.

    The 2-month-old cub was found on 12 April by campers mountaineering within the forest. Wildlife officers with the California division of fish and wildlife (CDFW) tried to reunite him along with his mom in a single day, however she didn’t return. The cub was transferred to the Ramona facility two days later.
