The Indian authorities didn’t instantly reply to requests for remark.

As tensions escalated with Pakistan after India accused it of getting a supporting hand in a terror assault that killed over two dozen Indians final month, the Indian authorities introduced punitive measures, together with expelling Pakistani residents.
