    A diplomatic push is underway to deliver India and Pakistan again from the brink as tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbours have escalated.

    In a single day into Wednesday, India launched strikes on websites in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

    India mentioned it acted in response to a militant assault in Indian-administered Kashmir two weeks in the past that killed 25 Indians and one Nepali. Pakistan has denied involvement within the assault.

    Indian police alleged that two of the attackers had been Pakistani nationals, with Delhi accusing Pakistan of supporting militants – a cost Islamabad denies.

    World leaders urged the 2 sides to train “restraint” and known as for a de-escalation of hostilities.

    “The world can’t afford a army confrontation between India and Pakistan,” UN Secretary-Basic António Guterres’s spokesman mentioned.
