COLUMBUS, Ohio — State officers have introduced a brand new initiative meant to strengthen faculties’ cybersecurity, the implementation of a platform often called TechGuard, in keeping with a press launch.
The platform provides faculties and Data Expertise Facilities “assets for cybersecurity coaching and simulated cyberattacks.”
These can vary from phishing makes an attempt, ransomware, malware and extra.
“Defending our faculties and equipping our academics with coaching to assist them establish and report cyberattacks helps makes our faculties safer and stronger,” stated Gov. Mike DeWine stated within the launch. “I launched CyberOhio as a manner to assist extra faculties and companies combat cyberattacks.
