Gregg Popovich has stepped down from his place as head coach of the San Antonio Spurs after 29 seasons with the crew.
On Friday the Spurs introduced that Popovich, 76, will transition into the position of president of basketball operations on the organisation.
Over 29 seasons Popovich oversaw 1,422 common season victories – probably the most by a head coach in NBA historical past – and led the Spurs to 5 NBA championships, most not too long ago in 2014.

Popovich led the U.S. males’s basketball crew to gold on the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and in 2023 was inducted into the Basketball Corridor of Fame as a coach in 2023.
