The European Union says it’s responding to US metal tariffs with its personal countermeasures price $28 billion {dollars}, which will likely be applied in two phases from April 1st.
It comes after the Trump administration imposed 25 p.c tariffs on all metal and aluminium merchandise going into the USA.
The CEO of one of many largest US aluminium makers has warned the tariffs might price round 100 thousand jobs.
The tariffs are driving a wedge between the US and its prime iron provider, Canada.
