Xi Jinping is about to deepen his management of China’s authorities and economic system, as lawmakers meet in Beijing to move far-reaching reforms.
The Nationwide Individuals’s Congress (NPC), a rubber-stamp parliament, will affirm Mr Xi’s third time period as president, and the appointments of his prime workforce.
They will even identify a brand new premier, the second-in-command after Mr Xi, because the incumbent Li Keqiang departs.
The Two Periods, because the conferences are recognized, are an annual affair.
