Türkiye has established a near-space observation station on Antarctica’s Horseshoe Island as a part of its ninth Nationwide Antarctic Science Expedition (TAE-IX) crew’s ongoing scientific analysis efforts, the Business and Know-how Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır has introduced.
“With this station, established with the ‘View of Area’ perspective, a precedence inside our nationwide polar science technique, we’re accelerating Türkiye’s scientific analysis efforts on the white continent,” Kacır stated in an announcement on X.
He highlighted that Antarctica serves as a wonderful analysis and laboratory atmosphere for space-related initiatives and reaffirmed Türkiye’s dedication to strengthening its presence on the continent. “We are going to proceed to boost our capabilities in house science according to the targets of our nationwide house program [a roadmap based on realistic and competitive goals].”
