To the editor: The outline of the destruction of Alejandro Diaz’s lovely hand-built house alongside the Arroyo Seco channel in Highland Park was one of many saddest issues I’ve ever learn. In what manner does this resolve any drawback or do any good? (“He spent 5 years building makeshift home. It took one day for authorities to dismantle it,” Feb. 24)
