Pope Francis appoints two new Secretaries Common of the Vatican Metropolis Governorate, granting Sister Raffaella Petrini, its President-elect, the authority to assign their tasks.

The Holy See Press Workplace introduced on Tuesday that Pope Francis has amended the Basic Regulation of Vatican Metropolis State (Could 13, 2023) and Regulation No. CCLXXIV on the Authorities of Vatican Metropolis State (November twenty fifth 2018).
In gentle of those modifications, he appointed two people as Secretaries Common of the Governorate of Vatican Metropolis, efficient March 1, 2025. This is similar day Sr. Raffaella Petrini, FSE, will assume the workplace of President of the Pontifical Fee for Vatican Metropolis State and President of the Governorate.
The Pope appointed Archbishop Emilio Nappa, at present serving as Assistant Secretary of the Dicastery for Evangelisation (Part for First Evangelisation and New Specific Church buildings) and President of the Pontifical Mission Societies; and lawyer Giuseppe Puglisi-Alibrandi, till now Deputy Secretary Common of the Governorate of Vatican Metropolis.
Moreover, the Holy Father entrusted Sr. Petrini with the authority to delegate particular duties and tasks to the newly appointed Secretaries Common as wanted.
