As soon as the lifeline of Bhutan, the 403km Trans-Bhutan Path linked the prosperous western districts of Haa to the distant far japanese Trashigang.
The path dates again to the sixteenth Century, and was utilized by monarchs, merchants, pilgrims and messengers for lots of of years, however fell into disuse quickly after Bhutan developed its freeway within the Sixties.
Now, greater than 60 years later, the historic path has reopened.
