Using Chinese language-owned social media app TikTok on telephones and different gadgets issued to UK authorities ministers and civil servants has been banned.
Cupboard Workplace minister Oliver Dowden advised MPs the app can be banned on safety grounds with speedy impact.
TikTok has strongly denied allegations that it arms customers’ information to the Chinese language authorities.
