Moscow says extra assaults had been carried out in a single day on Tuesday within the area of Belgorod, which borders Ukraine.
Earlier this week, Russia accused what it described as “Ukrainian terrorists” of crossing the border to launch raids.
The assault was claimed by two Russian teams based mostly in Ukraine, who wish to topple President Vladimir Putin.
