For many years London’s Victorian-era sewers have discharged uncooked sewage into the River Thames after heavy rain.
However that may very well be about to alter, because of an enormous tunnel that’s been constructed beneath the river.
Seven metres extensive, 25km lengthy and costing almost £5bn it’s designed to divert sewage to a therapy plant in east London.
