China has carried out mass simulated missile strikes on Taiwan, in navy workouts that included “sealing off” the island.
Taiwan considers itself a sovereign state. China sees it as a breakaway province that may ultimately be introduced below Beijing’s management – by drive, if obligatory.
Beijing started the workouts after Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen met the US Home Speaker in California, which China described as an act of “collusion” by america.
