LIVE: US Army Carries Out Precision Airstrikes on Houthi Targets in Sanaa
The US army performed precision airstrikes on December 21 focusing on services operated by Iran-backed Houthi forces in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa. In line with a press release from U.S. Central Command, the strikes targeted on a missile storage web site and a command-and-control heart, aiming to “disrupt and degrade Houthi operations,” together with assaults on U.S. Navy warships and service provider vessels within the Southern Purple Sea, Bab al-Mandeb Strait, and Gulf of Aden. Moreover, the U.S. army reported destroying a number of Houthi one-way drones and an anti-ship cruise missile over the Purple Sea.
