The Russian Defence Ministry has launched video that it says exhibits forces repelling Ukrainian troops within the southeastern Zaporizhzhia area.
Earlier Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu stated Kyiv suffered heavy losses in a failed assault this week.
Russia controls 80 p.c of the Zaporizhzhia area.
Kyiv has not commented and is downplaying stories that its anticipated counteroffensive is underway.
