A strong earthquake on Tuesday (Jan 7) jolted Tibet close to the Nepalese border, bringing down a number of buildings and claiming the lives of 53 individuals, reported state media.
The earthquake hit Dingri county with a magnitude of 6.8 close to the border with Nepal at 9:05 am (0105 GMT), as per the China Earthquake Networks Heart (CENC).
