Diplomats and nationals from the UK, US, France and China are to be evacuated from Sudan by air as preventing there continues, an announcement from the Sudanese military stated.
Military chief Fattah al-Burhan agreed to facilitate and safe their evacuation “within the coming hours”, it stated.
He’s locked in an influence battle with the chief of a rival paramilitary faction, the Fast Assist Forces.
Earlier plans to evacuate overseas nationals haven’t been carried out due to security fears.
