Richard Sharp has introduced his resignation as chairman of the BBC after a report discovered he breached the code on public appointments.
Mr Sharp mentioned the report discovered he didn’t correctly disclose his involvement within the facilitation of a £800,000 mortgage assure to former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Asserting his resignation, Mr Sharp mentioned: “I’ve at all times maintained the breach was inadvertent and never materials, which the details he lays out substantiate.”
