The pinnacle of London’s Metropolitan Police has defended the policing of the King Charles’s Coronation after six anti-monarchy protesters have been arrested, detained for hours after which launched with out cost.
A gaggle have been arrested below a controversial new legislation, the Public Order Act 2023.
They have been held for nearly 16 hours, later bailed and advised on Monday that no additional motion could be taken in opposition to them.
Met Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley mentioned it was unlucky these arrested couldn’t protest, however he supported the officers’ actions.
