United States President Joe Biden has kicked off a three-nation journey, dominated by a NATO summit geared toward displaying solidarity with Ukraine amid disagreements over Kyiv’s potential accession into the alliance.
Biden arrived in the UK, a key US ally, late on Sunday.
“Our relationship is rock strong,” Biden mentioned on Monday, as he met Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at 10 Downing Avenue.
Their discussions are set to incorporate the upcoming NATO summit, which begins in Vilnius on July 11, and the Ukraine struggle.
“As we face new and unprecedented challenges to our bodily and financial safety, our alliances are extra essential than ever,” Sunak mentioned in an announcement.
“The UK is Europe’s main NATO ally, we’re the USA’ most essential commerce, defence and diplomatic associate, and we’re on the forefront of offering Ukraine with the assist they should succeed on the battlefield,” he added.
