On this present day in 2008, India’s lunar probe, Chandrayaan-1, was launched. This was India’s first mission to the moon. Chandrayaan-1 found water molecules on the moon. Since then, India has launched two extra lunar probes, with Chandrayaan-3 being the primary mission to gentle land on the lunar south pole.
