An adolescent from Florida has received the 2023 Scripps Nationwide Spelling Bee in the US.
Dev Shah, a 14-year-old pupil from Largo, spelled “psammophile” appropriately to win the ninety fifth nationwide bee and the $50,000 (£40,000) prize.
However can a few of these high spellers deal with British spellings?
