Manila has summoned Beijing’s ambassador a day after Chinese language coastguards blocked and used water cannon on Philippine vessels within the disputed South China Sea, in response to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
“Our secretary of overseas affairs summoned Ambassador Huang in the present day and gave him a notice verbale, together with photos, video about what occurred and we’re awaiting their reply,” Marcos advised reporters on Monday.
The Philippines on Saturday accused China’s coastguard of utilizing water cannon to dam its vessels carrying meals, water, gas and different provides for its navy personnel stationed at Second Thomas Shoal within the Spratly Islands.
