WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Billionaire Elon Musk, an adviser to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, mentioned on Saturday that Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick would “truly enact change” if chosen as U.S. Treasury secretary.
Trump has not introduced his nominee for the position, however Lutnick and investor Scott Bessent are critical contenders for the job.
Musk mentioned Bessent is “a business-as-usual alternative.”
