Three of Tanzania’s main newspapers have been banned from publishing their on-line editions after they ran an animation seen as crucial of President Samia Suluhu Hassan. On-line licenses of publishers of Tanzania’s most influential English language paper the Citizen in addition to Mwananchi and Mwanaspoti have been suspended for 30 days. The suspension comes after the citizen on social media revealed an animation that includes President Hassan. The animation highlighted the growing instances of abductions and disappearances within the nation. President Hassan is dealing with growing home and worldwide criticism over allegations that safety forces are concerned within the kidnapping and homicide of opposition figures.
